19th May 2024 in Cesenatico will start the Nove Colli, the most loved cycling Gran Fondo in the world.

This year the motto will be "Be green, be party, be Nove Colli", aiming to be particularly respectful edition of the environment and of the good rules of cycling. The GC Fausto Coppi and the whole city are ready to welcome thousands of cyclists and enthusiasts from all over the world for a weekend of partying and pure sport. Two routes for two levels of difficulty: from the sea to the hills through spectacular landscapes. The route for the most trained, foresees the overcoming of nine hills with a maximum slope of 18% on the legendary Barbotto, it is 205 km long, 3840 m difference in altitude. The alternative route is 130 km, 1871 km difference in altitude, with four hills to climb.

Romagna is the land of bikes since always, Cesenatico has given birth to one of the greatest champions of this sport: Marco Pantani. The "Pirate" grew up and trained here, where he refined his talent as a pure climber. Still beloved by fans, considered a star player, is among few cyclists - Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Stephen Roche, Miguel Indurain - to have won in the same year both of the races Giro d’Italia and Tour de France.
