The Terrace of La Dolce Vita at the Grand Hotel Rimini

In the enchanting setting of the Grand Hotel gardens in Rimini, "La Terrazza Dolce Vita" returns for its sixth edition—a series of open-air talk shows featuring prominent figures from the world of entertainment and contemporary culture. Hosted by journalist Giovanni Terzi and Simona Ventura, the evenings will alternate between current affairs and lighter themes. All events are free to attend.

 

The salons hosted by Ventura and Terzi kick off on Wednesday, July 30 with an interview with an iconic artist: Stefania Sandrelli. The actress, who recently starred in Paolo Sorrentino's latest film portraying the adult version of "Parthenope", will be joined in Rimini by Umberto Brindani, editor-in-chief of Gente magazine (media partner of the event), and Candida Livatino, a journalist and graphologist. Rimini’s mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad will also take part. The evening will close with a special performance by dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giada Lini, known for their appearances on Dancing with the Stars.

On Thursday, July 31, the guest will be Enrico Vanzina, screenwriter of over a hundred films that have shaped the history of Italian cinema. With cult classics like Sapore di Mare, Vacanze di Natale, and Yuppies, he has portrayed a changing Italy with irony and lightness. Also joining will be Roberta Frisoni, Regional Councillor for Tourism, Commerce and Sports in Emilia-Romagna; director Giovanni Veronesi, who began his career writing for Francesco Nuti and Leonardo Pieraccioni; RAI’s General Director Roberto Sergio; and graphologist Candida Livatino.

Friday, August 1 will feature former Undersecretary of State Vincenzo Amendola, Davide Cassani, President of Emilia-Romagna’s Tourism Board (APT), Rimini’s Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad, and former world boxing champion Daniele Scardina aka King Toretto. Also attending: journalist Federico Ruffo, deputy Andrea Gnassi (former Mayor of Rimini), and Nadia Bizzocchi, Director of Gambalunga Civic Library. The night will close with a talk dedicated to Dancing with the Stars featuring Milly Carlucci (via video), Anna Carlucci, and dancers Pasquale La Rocca, Giada Lini, and Graziano Di Prima.

Saturday, August 2 opens with the sharp satire of Le più belle frasi di Osho, a viral social media phenomenon with 1.2 million followers, created by cartoonist Federico Palmaroli. Also speaking will be Corriere della Sera journalists Paola Di Caro and Luca Valdisseri, parents of Francesco, who tragically died in 2022, and Giovanni Galli, former goalkeeper of Italy’s national football team and father of Niccolò, victim of a road accident in 2001.

Sunday, August 3, speakers will include Senator Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata, former Minister of Education Mariastella Gelmini, and Senator Simona Malpezzi, along with psychologist Maria Rita Parsi, member of Italy’s National Observatory for Childhood and a former UN Committee member on children's rights. Also present: Debora Donati, President of the association “Insieme a te”, and Giacomo Morigini, President of the social cooperative “Amici di Gigi”.

Monday, August 4, the spotlight will be on Francesca Pascale, journalist and TV presenter Piero Marrazzo, and Ruben Razzante, professor of media law.

The second half of the series continues with a focus on media and entertainment. Tuesday, August 5, host of the popular show Quarto Grado, Gianluigi Nuzzi, will open the night. Also joining: lawyer and writer Laura Sgrò, Rimini’s Prefect Giuseppina Cassone, Police Chief Olimpia Abbate, and young members of the San Patrignano community. Host Giovanni Terzi will present his book L’ultimo sguardo di Yara. The musical duo Jalisse (Fabio Ricci and Alessandra Drusian) will also perform.

Wednesday, August 6, the evening will be led by musician Morgan, with a video appearance by iconic music producer Mara Maionchi and participation from renowned infectious disease expert Matteo Bassetti.

Thursday, August 7, actress Chiara Francini will share her story alongside actor Biagio Venditti. Musician Ivan Cattaneo will perform, and the night will close with a dance performance by Simona Ventura and Giovanni Terzi with dancers Pasquale La Rocca, Giada Lini, and Graziano Di Prima.

On Friday, August 8, the guest will be Don Davide Milani, official of the Vatican Dicastery for Culture and Education. Followed by interviews with TV host Matilde D’Errico and psychologist Osvaldo Poli. The evening will end with a performance by singer-songwriter Eliza G, a 2019 The Voice of Italy semifinalist.

Saturday, August 9 opens with Antonio Preziosi, Director of TG2. Simona Ventura will moderate a panel on social issues alongside lawyer and author Annamaria Bernardini de Pace, Elisabetta Aldrovandi (President of the National Victim Support Observatory), and Chiara Balistreri, a victim of domestic violence and participant on L’Isola dei Famosi. The night ends with a performance by Eliza G.

The final evening, Sunday, August 10, welcomes iconic presenter Mara Venier, fresh from her role in Diamanti, the latest film by Ferzan Ozpetek. Also attending: actor Paolo Conticini, Luigi Contu (Director of ANSA), singer-songwriter Drupi, and actress Patrizia Pellegrino, known for participating in Ne vedremo delle belle.

 

La Terrazza Dolce Vita is a format promoted by Apt Servizi Emilia-Romagna, Visit Romagna, and the City of Rimini. The event is organized in collaboration with BPER Banca, Ferrari Trento, Dameda, Parmigiano Reggiano, ANSA, and Gente, with support from the Batani Family, owners of the Grand Hotel Rimini.
